NBC Family
NBC is pleased with the amount of hard work our employees put in day after day, week after week, and year after year. No more so than last year where we had crews working ten hour days, six days a week, and occasionally working nights. This rigorous schedule can take its toll on a person. NBC likes to treat its employees well by offering a few events for people to relax and have fun with family and friends. This past year we had a family picnic, golf tournament, company Christmas party, and the NBC fishing derby.
2006 recorded the first NBC company picnic in many years. Many of the NBC family members gathered for food, drinks, and fun for all ages. There was rock climbing, a train, a magician, football, and various other activities that captured the excitement of children of all ages. Everybody had a great time at the picnic and it showcased the camaraderie between our employees. We look forward to this years company picnic on Saturday August 11th.

Once again the NBC Scholarship Golf Tournament was a tremendous success. Teams of four lined up for a shotgun start on the beautiful Rooster Run golf course this past fall. Everyone had a great time as they made their way through 18 holes avoiding water hazards and geese. There was even a brand new Chevy truck awarded to the player that could get a hole–in–one on a selected par 3 hole…there was no winner. There were many winners at the post event dinner and raffle where many people went home with prizes ranging from golf clubs to cash.
We could not have accomplished this feat without the participants and support from all of our players and our numerous sponsors. The tournament was a sell out and raised enough money to fund the 2007 NBC scholarship awards. We would like to, once again, extend our gratitude to the NBC family, volunteers, and sponsors for their assistance.
This years golf tournament will be Sunday, September 30th at Rooster Run Golf Club. We look forward to another generous show of support.
The last, and certainly not least, the NBC company Christmast party. Once again it was located at the Petaluma Veteran’s Memorial Building due to the expansiveness of our NBC family. Employees and a guest were treated to dinner, dancing, and a fun time amongst co–workers and friends. Music was provided again by Fiznik Rik who did a great job in providing music for people with different tastes of music genres.
We honored those NBC family members that have past away in the last year. We gave recognition to their dedication—not only as co–workers, but also as friends. NBC also commended those employees who have been with the company for many years and to those who have retired in the past year. We wanted to acknowledge that their hard work and devotion has not gone unnoticed. We wished the best of luck to our retiring employees and their future endeavors. For our long standing employees, we wished them many more years of success at NBC until it is their time to be honored as retirees of NBC.
The night was an overall success. Everyone had fun and they made it home safely. NBC would like to thank the volunteers and employees that made this all possible. We look forward to next years Christmas party in December.
Every year in March NBC hosts fishing trips and derbies in Oregon and Northern California, which includes employees, clients, and vendors. It is viewed as a bonding experience to help strengthen business, personal relations, and a time to relax before the busy season starts. The participants are split into teams of two who try to catch as many fish over the course of the tournament. Whoever has the most ultimately wins.
