Safety

Our philosophy has always been “safety first at all times.” North Bay Construction continually strives to implement a safe work environment for all of its employees by training and teaching safety to every employee on a daily basis. Safety can never be overemphasized! That is why NBC employs much time and effort into continuous training, yearly training, and committees to make sure all employees are knowledgeable in the current safety regulations.

NBC expends large amounts of time and resources on training every year to ensure qualified personnel are working to get the job done in a safe and efficient manner. Employees participate in classes such as 40 hour hazmat, 8 hour hazmat refresher course, competent person, confined space training, and first–aid/CPR with the purpose of gaining the knowledge of the most up–to–date information these classes have to offer. Weekly tailgate meetings offer regulated safety topics which help spread the word about policies, procedures, and new information. Our safety committee establishes new ideas and reviews different methods of promoting a safe work area. Our disciplinary committee enables us to learn, discuss, and cite the proper punishment for any given mishap. Through this committee we have the ability to analyze, investigate, and rectify the mishap.
