Demolition, excavation, grading and paving by a single contractor provide the benefits of higher efficiencies in time and materials for commercial, industrial and residential construction. If hazardous wastes are encountered, NBC employees are certified to remove contaminated materials. Grading of fine or rough, large or small, wet or dry surfaces is handled by our expanding fleet of today’s top–of–the–line equipment. North Bay also utilizes GPS–guided machine grade control systems, a major advance in automated earth-moving designed to minimize survey stakeout on large projects and to deliver the engineer’s design directly into the field.
Paving
NBC is capable of performing various paving projects that include highways,
airport runways, subdivisions, roadways, parking lots, and driveways. Our fleet of paving
equipment is equipped with the most advanced technology for precise placement & quality
control. We are always thoughtful of the citizen’s needs that are effected by paving
procedure. Because of this, sometimes we have to operate at night in order to minimize traffic
congestion & community interuption. NBC is always willing to adapt to a situation in
order to get the job done safely and as soon as possible.
Hole–cutter Apparatus
When the paving is finished, the job is still not complete. Manholes and underground
cleanouts need to be uncovered, raised to street level and then patch–paved. NBC uses
a Cat Skid Steer with a hole–cutter attachment to expose the iron. We have four different
sized cutters with various diameters depending on what utility you need to uncover. This
process benefits the customer and NBC more, as opposed to using a jackhammer to expose the
iron, because it is cleaner, fast, and cuts costs.
