NBC takes pride in the miles of underground utilities we have installed over the past 31 years of business. We offer premium service and the quality that you expect from NBC crews. Our tained personnel apply years of knowledge and experience to the installation, renovation, and upgrading of our underground utilities.
Our comprehensive underground services include waterline, sewer line, storm drain, and joint trench. We do our best to consult with the owners and public agencies to provide the best solutions to problems that may arise during production. Sometimes there are situations where utilities are in different locations, the ground may be unstable as we increase the depth of excavation or we could come across hazardous material. Many of our employees are certified for confined spaces, lead, and hazmat. Whatever the problem may be, NBC is capable of dealing with it.
Vac Truck
NBC
has two vacuum trucks in its fleet of equipment. These vehicles have an assortment of uses,
but two of the most frequent are potholing for utilities and cleaning out hard to reach areas
like catch basins.
Potholing for utilities is a critical part of locating existing utilities prior to excavation. After reviewing plans with approximate utility locations in roadways, we will break out a small section of asphalt and suck out the material down to the existing pipe. We will repeat this procedure in various locations to determine pipe elevation throughout the area of work. This process helps to create better efficiencies during excavation by knowing where utilities are located, ultimately increasing production and job completion.
Another
application is cleaning out difficult to reach areas. Catch basins, clean outs, and other
tight areas can be accessed and cleaned efficiently using the vacuum truck as opposed to
other methods. The vacuum allows for better safety for employees because they do not have
to work in confined areas while also cutting down on time and costs.
